At the Sharon Henning College of Chaplaincy, we believe students should understand the cost of their education when they enroll.
SHCC uses cohort-based tuition pricing. Your tuition is based on the year you enter your degree program, allowing you to plan for the cost of your education from the beginning.

Students who enroll in the Associate program lock in the Associate tuition for their entering cohort.
If you later decide to continue into the Bachelor program, you will enter the Bachelor Completion cohort and tuition rate in effect when you begin that program.
Your Associate cohort does not automatically reserve a future Bachelor Completion rate.
Students who enroll in the full four-year Bachelor program lock in the tuition price for their complete four-year degree.
This means you know the tuition for all four years from the beginning rather than waiting to learn what Bachelor Completion tuition will be after completing your Associate degree.
Your cohort is established when you enter a degree program.
To maintain cohort tuition protection, students are expected to:
Students who withdraw, have an extended interruption in enrollment, change degree paths, or exceed the applicable price-protection period may become subject to the tuition and degree requirements in effect at the time they return.
If SHCC delays a student's degree progression because a required course, cohort, or program is not offered by the College, SHCC may preserve the student's existing cohort tuition without counting the institutionally caused delay against the student's tuition-protection period.
Price protection and payment schedules are not the same thing.
Your cohort tuition may remain protected longer than the standard period in which tuition is expected to be paid.
The additional price-protection period provides reasonable flexibility for academic completion. It does not automatically extend the tuition payment schedule.
Alternative payment arrangements may be available when approved by SHCC administration.
Eligible students who begin SHCC as auditors and later become degree-seeking students may qualify for the cohort tuition available when they began auditing.
Time spent auditing is included in the applicable tuition price-protection period.
Because students may begin auditing at different points during an academic year, SHCC may approve reasonable extensions when individual circumstances warrant.
Published degree tuition covers tuition for the applicable degree program.
Unless specifically stated as included, additional expenses may apply for:
A cohort tuition guarantee protects the tuition price for the applicable degree program. It does not guarantee that curriculum, course sequencing, faculty, academic standards, policies, or graduation requirements will remain unchanged.
SHCC may revise academic and program requirements as necessary to maintain educational quality, meet regulatory requirements, or pursue and maintain accreditation.
Students enrolled in the Associate of Chaplaincy will receive the full Making of a Chaplain training with the opportunity to be ordained after successful completion of the program and approved application.
Students enrolled in the full Bachelor program receive the security of knowing their complete degree tuition from the beginning, provided they continue to meet SHCC's requirements for cohort tuition protection.
Students who enroll in the Bachelor of Chaplaincy program will receive the full Making of a Chaplain training, have the opportunity to be ordained as well as the full training in Biblical Counseling.
Students who have completed an Associate degree and continue into the final two years of the Bachelor of Chaplaincy enter the Bachelor Completion cohort in effect when they begin that portion of the program.
Students will receive the full training in Biblical counseling and will also have an opportunity to apply for ordination if not already ordained.
Previous SHCC Associate graduates are welcome to return to complete their Bachelor of Chaplaincy.
Students returning after a gap of two years or more enter the current Bachelor Completion cohort, with an additional $750 included in the total program tuition.
This accounts for additional academic review, advising, updated degree requirements, and other re-entry needs that may be required following an extended absence.
Returning students are subject to the degree and academic requirements in effect at the time of re-entry unless otherwise approved by SHCC.
